As we continue to do our part for our collective physical health it is important to take care of our own mental health as well. Stress Management & Empowerment Group for Teens with Atara Vogelstein Wednesdays, 3:45-4:45pm
This group is open to non-binary and female-identifying teens interested in developing self-esteem and tools for managing stress and anxiety. Adolescence is a natural time of questioning, doubting, and searching. The quest to find ourselves and feel comfortable in our own skin can be stressful while social, academic, or family responsibilities mount. Together we will create a safe, fun, and creative space to explore sources of stress and anxiety, and discover how our self-image and the roles we play intersect. We will examine how the community we create within the group affects our confidence and sense of empowerment, and the actions we can take in our everyday lives to feel calmer, clearer, and empowered. This group will focus on practices of drama therapy, creative arts therapy, and mind-body integration.
Divorce Group with Atara Vogelstein Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30pm
You are not alone. Divorce affects 40-50% of all American couples, and the effects can be traumatizing, stigmatizing or even relieving for those that experience it. Find comfort and community while reflecting on your own experience in a calm atmosphere that is dedicated to your story and healing. You will focus on embodiment and dramatic enactment as a means of exploring roles and communicating associated emotions in this period of transition. This 60-minute drama therapy session under the guidance of Atara will aid in restoring balance to your mind, body and soul. No art/drama experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided.
Depression Support Group for Black Women with Jennifer Sterling Thursdays 6-7pm

It offers an opportunity for group members to explore movement in a nonjudgmental and open way. No movement or dance experience required, just a desire to understand how depression affects your body; find ways to cope and increase resilience; and a willingness to explore your body, breath and sensations with a sense of curiosity.
Letting Go and Embracing Change with Jamie Adges Thursdays, 7-8pm
Change can be difficult for us to embrace and manifest in our lives. We often feel stuck in old ways of thinking, or trapped by habits and patterns that prevent us from moving forward. This group calls for anyone undergoing transitions in life, struggles with change and making decisions, or has general feelings of anxiety or depression. You will be invited to release old patterns and roles that no longer serve you to embrace and prepare for positive change and transition in your life and relationships. Through Drama Therapy, we will explore the different roles we play in our lives, aspects of ourselves, our blocks and defenses, and our patterns and behavior that keep us from reaching our potential. Drama Therapy requires no theater background, but rather utilizes creative expressive techniques in addition to traditional talk-therapy. This allows us to access and re-connect with ourselves more deeply and quickly. Please join us in a path towards self-awareness and acceptance as we move through transitions and change with ease, gaining clarity in what we want and desire for our lives and ourselves.
