Because it’s 2020…
Support Group for Front Line Health Care Workers (Support Group) with Alexa Palmer Thursday 7:45pm-8:30pm Overwhelmed by the intensity of working through the pandemic? Looking for a supportive network of professionals experiencing similar stress? Together, we will connect, support, and express our experiences as well as share ways of coping with COVID-19. I am a creative arts therapist who continues to work in a hospital setting through the pandemic. I have experienced some of the intensities as well as witnessed the pandemic pandemonium turning the hospital system upside down. I would like to offer a space where front line workers can feel safe, supported, and strengthened by this time together. In this support group, we will also learn about different signs, symptoms, and strategies for stress management in order to help reduce long lasting stress or PTSD like symptoms. This group will include meditation, breath work, and gentle movement experience to help us create, enhance, and integrate more moments of calm in our days. |
