Women's Group (Lower East Side) with Sharon Itkoff Nacache Every other Monday 6:30-7:30pm
A place for women to come together, create art, and find support with life's challenges. This is a safe space that offers an opportunity for group members to explore materials in a nonjudgmental and open way with the guidance of Sharon, an experienced art therapist. No experience with art making is needed!
Letting Go and Embracing Change(Lower East Side) with Jamie Adges Mondays 7:00-8:00pm
Change can be difficult for us to embrace and manifest in our lives. We often feel stuck in old ways of thinking, or trapped by habits and patterns that prevent us from moving forward. This group calls for anyone undergoing transitions in life, struggles with change and making decisions, or has general feelings of anxiety or depression. You will be invited to release old patterns and roles that no longer serve you to embrace and prepare for positive change and transition in your life and relationships. Through Drama Therapy, we will explore the different roles we play in our lives, aspects of ourselves, our blocks and defenses, and our patterns and behavior that keep us from reaching our potential. Drama Therapy requires no theater background, but rather utilizes creative expressive techniques in addition to traditional talk-therapy. This allows us to access and re-connect with ourselves more deeply and quickly. Please join us in a path towards self-awareness and acceptance as we move through transitions and change with ease, gaining clarity in what we want and desire for our lives and ourselves.
Can I Get A Witness (Dumbo) with Amina Shaw-Moss Every other Wednesday 7:00-8:00pm
Can I Get A Witness is a group specifically designed for Women Of Color working through trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed, holding the weight of everyday stress on your shoulders? Perhaps you've held onto a secret for so long, that it's now a part of your life's story. Sometimes the sheer act of telling your truth, is the gateway to personal healing. Please join me and other women of color, as we build supportive connections through art therapy and conversation.
